Femtosecond laser in the Clínica Llum operating theatre

Treatments

What we do, and what it costs

No surgery should begin with a surprise on the invoice. These are our treatments with their real, all-inclusive prices.

01 · Refractive surgery

Goodbye to glasses in 15 minutes

We correct myopia (up to −10 dioptres), hyperopia (up to +6) and astigmatism (up to 6) with three techniques. The free, no-obligation pre-operative assessment decides which one is right for you: not every cornea suits every technique.

Price per eye. Includes pre-operative assessment, surgery, post-operative medication and all check-ups for the first year.
TechniqueBest forRecoveryPrice
Femtosecond LASIKMost cases; useful vision within hours24 h€1,195
PRK / surfaceThin corneas, contact sports5–7 days€995
ICL lensHigh prescriptions or corneas unsuitable for laser24–48 h€2,900
Am I a candidate for laser eye surgery?

You need to be over 21, with a stable prescription for at least a year and a cornea thick enough for treatment. We confirm it with a corneal topography at your first visit: if you are not a candidate, we tell you and explain the alternatives.

Is the result permanent?

The corneal correction is permanent. From around age 45, presbyopia (age-related reading difficulty) appears as it does in every eye, and around 65–70 cataracts may develop: both have their own surgical solutions.

02 · Cataracts and presbyopia

The world's most performed surgery, tailored to you

A cataract is the eye's natural lens losing its transparency with age. Surgery replaces it with an intraocular lens that lasts a lifetime. Choosing that lens defines how you will see for the next thirty years, which is why we dedicate an entire consultation to choosing it with you.

Price per eye. Includes optical biometry, phacoemulsification surgery, the lens and first-year check-ups.
Intraocular lensWhat it achievesPrice
MonofocalSharp distance vision; glasses for reading€1,850
Extended focus (EDOF)Distance and intermediate without glasses; occasional readers€2,450
TrifocalDistance, intermediate and near without glasses in 90% of situations€2,750
When should a cataract be operated on?

When it limits your life: night driving, reading, recognising faces. There is no need to wait for it to "ripen"; that idea is forty years old. Operating earlier means operating more safely.

Can I fix presbyopia even without cataracts?

Yes. It is the same surgery (replacing the clear natural lens with a trifocal lens) and it removes both presbyopia and any future cataract. We assess it from age 50.

03 · Glaucoma and retina

The sight you lose without warning

Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently and irreversibly: half the people who have it don't know. From age 40, a check-up with tonometry and OCT every two years catches it in time. If it appears, SLT laser or latest-generation drops control it in most cases.

Our retina unit treats wet AMD with intravitreal injections, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment with urgent surgery.

Chronic glaucoma treatment is quoted after diagnosis; these are the most common tests and procedures.
ProcedureWhat it isPrice
Full check-up with OCTPressure, visual field and optic nerve scan€150
SLT laser (both eyes)Lowers eye pressure without surgery or daily drops€750
Intravitreal injectionTreatment for wet AMD and macular oedemafrom €450

Not sure which is your case?

That is what the first visit is for: 90 minutes of tests and a diagnosis you understand.
